Friends In Deed is accepting applications for an AmeriCorps VISTA: Program Services Coordinator. The position starts in November and runs for a year. That being said, there may be an opportunity to continue in a VISTA role for a year or more after the initial term. There may also be an opportunity for permanent employment.
More About the Position
The VISTA opportunity is a little like a paid internship: it provides an opportunity for someone to gain a lot of quality experience while helping Friends In Deed to help people in need and build community to end poverty. In addition to a living stipend of $13,300 a year, the VISTA can earn a Segal Education Award for successfully completing a full year of service: $5,920 that can be used to pay for tuition/college costs and related expenses at Title IV schools and to repay existing qualified student loans. A travel relocation reimbursement up to $550 may also be possible.
