As many of you already know, Charlene, our casework supervisor, is moving on to a new job. Charlene will be missed. Not only is she a character, she is a lot of fun and a raging MSU fan. Staff and volunteers alike got together to give her a big sendoff at Weber’s Inn.
Unfortunately, she was not the only person leaving. We have a few long-time volunteers who are retiring from the business of heavy lifting out in our warehouse. That being said, they will be friends forever.
We are also losing another volunteer: Mary O’Brien. Mary is from Maine and was in Michigan for just a year. Even so, she managed to pack a lot of accomplishments into 12 months. She not only worked on the furniture line and wrote client profiles, she served on the Circles Feasibility Study Group. She also graced us with a big smile each and every time we saw her.
